Company: American Airlines (SYM: AAL) Raymond James’ analysts just upgraded AAL to an outperform rating with a price target of $24, which is 38% above current prices. As noted by MarketWatch.com, “American in December raised its guidance for fourth-quarter revenue per available seat mile by two to three percentage points to a range of zero to 1%, compared with a Raymond James outlook and the consensus forecast calling for a decline of 2% and 1%, respectively. The airline also raised its adjusted per-share earnings range to 55 cents to 75 cents from 25 cents to 50 cents previously. That compares with the Raymond James forecast of 50 cents and the consensus of 39 cents before the update.” |
