Is Palantir (PLTR) a good Buy after earnings?

Dear Reader,

We haven’t talked about Palantir (SYM: PLTR) in a while, and there’s been a lot happening since we first recommended it around $6 a share.

Here’s my update:

We still own it at $32 a share after taking profits on half our shares at $25.

And lately, a lot of readers have written in to see if we still like Palantir.

YES. I absolutely love the company. This is one of our core, long-term positions.

It’s been moving a lot recently on a deal they just announced with Microsoft to expand their AI offerings to the defense department.

Urgent—

**I need your decision**

Tomorrow morning, we’re going to send out our “buy alert” of the week

Our last “buy alert” this time-sensitive is already up 307%

That’s on top of the 133%, 213%, 120% and 115% gains we’ve seen with other defense stocks.

The only “catch” is that this alert expires in 48 hours…these opportunities move fast.

Please check this out while you still can.

Palantir is one of those companies that got a lot of hype when they went public. But I ignored the hype when it came out at $40 a share.

Everyone was going crazy but to me, the performance didn’t match the hype.

We became interested when two things happened:

  1. When PLTR crashed from $32 to $6.

As I mentioned yesterday re: buying Starbucks under $20, I like stocks when they are SUPER cheap, and…

  1. When Russia invaded Ukraine.

What really struck me was when Alex Karp, Palantir’s CEO was the very first CEO to visit Ukraine when war broke out. I thought to myself, “wow – now that’s an interesting sign.”

And it really speaks to the revolution happening in warfare right now…

Experts call it, “the fourth revolution in warfare.”

I’m talking, of course, about AI.

What’s happening in Ukraine right now they’re calling, “algorithmic warfare” – warfare by mathematics.

Now, that may sound cold, but all warfare is mathematics.

From the beginning of time to today, the key to warfare is to speed up your kill chain.

Kill chain is the process by which you identify, target, and kill the opponent.

Imagine back when Alexander the Great invaded Persia…

The kill chain then was:

Identify: see the Persian across the field.
Target: ready and aim arrow on bow.
Kill: shoot arrow.

Identify. Target. Kill.

What AI now does for warfare is allows you to identify, target and kill faster than any kill chain in human history.

A historical example of this principle is Germany and France in WWII.

These nations had very similar armies. Germany had no big advantage to start. What they did different was speed their kill chain…

They added radios and receivers to their tanks. With this technology, everyone was able to share information a lot quicker. They were able to identify, target and kill the opponent faster, moving kind of like swarms.

And the same thing is happening now in Ukraine.

Companies like Palantir are helping Ukraine identify, target and kill incoming Russian threats.

Here’s an example:

Imagine Ukraine has a fixed-position gun that shoots down enemy aircraft.

It used to be that a fixed-position gun was manned by a person. He would sit up there, and when the enemy would send an aircraft he’d try to shoot it down, hoping to hit as many as possible. Some would get through, of course.

Now that kill chain has sped up a lot by using software like Palantir’s, which automates the process.

It lets a gun identify incoming aircraft automatically, target and then shoot a projectile at it.

And it’s happening at speeds that are shocking for humans to comprehend.

Again, this is automatic, algorithmic warfare.

And it’s going to speed up the battlefield so much faster, for better and for worse.

Sometimes, the ends justify the means…

Getting a war done and over faster is a good thing, basically, because it stops the killing, making it as fast and clean as possible.

Look, of course I wish humans were different. I wish there weren’t deadly power competitions between countries and people. I wish we lived in a world of peace.

But unfortunately, the world we find ourselves in is a world where this technology matters. This revolution in warfare is happening right now.

So to answer the questions I’ve received, yes, I still love Palantir. The stock looks like it really, really wants to go higher, so I’d be holding my position here and stick around for the ride.

And now, a note on China:

Just like Germany facing France in WWII, China knows speed and mobility are key to success in warfare.

The good news for us is, a recent report written by one of their military think tanks shows that one new U.S. weapon has them worried.

That’s because it’s the fastest and most mobile weapon ever produced by a human.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff calls it “unstoppable.”

The Independent reports, “You won’t even see it coming.”

Forbes says the U.S. military plans to deploy “an arsenal of these weapons.”

We did a full 100-page write-up of the small company that makes this crazy new weapon it in our latest report on the defense sector.

You can get access to it right here.
