One of the Most Inexpensive AI Stocks to Buy Now
One of the most inexpensive artificial intelligence stocks to buy is SoundHound AI (SYM: SOUN).
This is the company that provides voice control and audio analytics software to automakers, drive-through restaurants, and other businesses with phone-based menu systems.
Better, one of its biggest investors is Nvidia, which invested about $3.7 million in the company. The investment arm of SoftBank also invested $2.3 million in SOUN. While those are small investments, it says a lot that industry giants are jumping in.
Helping, the company’s revenue just jumped about 54% year over year to $13.5 million.
And while it did post an adjusted loss of four cents, it was an improvement from a year-earlier loss of seven cents. Plus, the company’s AI voice assistant is now being offered in 14 Stellantis brands. It also signed a major contract with a large pizza chain for its phone ordering services, and two coffee chains.
SOUN will also acquire enterprise AI company Amelia for $80 million in cash and equity.
As noted in a SOUN press release, “For SoundHound AI, the deal marks a significant and strategic expansion of its existing customer service pillar, adding breadth and depth to a division that has seen substantial growth amid the accelerated adoption of voice and conversational generative AI solutions. The acquisition positions the company at the center of this burgeoning space, as enterprise spending on generative AI is forecast to gather more momentum, reaching between $175 billion and $250 billion by 2027 (McKinsey, June 2024). Customer service is identified as a key area for disruption.”
Even better, at less than $5, shares of SOUN are a steal.
