Happy Friday and TGIF—even if I’ve got a packed day of meetings ahead. Today I wanted to take a break from the chaos and answer some of the thoughtful questions you’ve been sending in over the past few weeks. From tariffs to crypto, from Trump’s drug pricing policy to Warren Buffett’s legacy, there’s a lot to unpack. So I figured, why not close out the week by getting into it all? First, let’s talk about the Arizona crypto reserve—yeah, I think it’s a terrible idea. It’s political grandstanding that risks undermining the U.S. dollar. And speaking of financial stability, the bond market is flashing warnings again. With 10-year yields creeping back toward 4.5%, this market is going to have a hard time pushing higher—especially with deficits that look more like COVID-era stimulus than anything sustainable. We also get into stablecoins (spoiler: I’m not a fan), Trump’s 30–80% drug price cut plan (yes, it’s price controls), and the ripple effects that could cause in the biotech and pharma sectors. But there’s also opportunity here—consolidation is coming, and the smart money will be ready. As for Buffett? The man changed my life. His early Berkshire letters are still the greatest investing lessons I’ve ever read, and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to master this game. So today is a mixed bag—but a meaningful one.
