With Cybersecurity Stocks Exploding, Bet on the ETFs
Cybersecurity stocks are on fire — and it doesn’t look like the rally is slowing down anytime soon.
The driving force? A powerful combination of artificial intelligence adoption and the rising threat of AI-driven cyberattacks. As businesses across industries rush to protect sensitive data, digital infrastructure, and mission-critical workflows, cybersecurity companies are finding themselves at the center of a massive growth story.
Take CrowdStrike (SYM: CRWD) as just one example.
Earlier this week, the stock soared more than $47 per share on the back of strong forward guidance and groundbreaking AI-driven innovations. The company set financial targets for fiscal year 2027 that include more than 20% net new annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth and operating margins above 24%.
But it wasn’t just the numbers that sent shares higher. CrowdStrike also announced major artificial intelligence enhancements to its Falcon platform, including:
A powerful AI-ready data layer
No-code agent building tools
AI agent collaboration
A completely redesigned AI-era user experience
On top of that, CrowdStrike has been aggressively expanding its partnerships with some of the world’s most influential companies, including Nvidia, Salesforce, Meta, AWS, and Intel.
For example, Salesforce and CrowdStrike are working together to integrate Falcon Shield with the Salesforce Security Center, which will give administrators and security teams enhanced visibility, compliance support, and protection for mission-critical workflows.
With Nvidia, the collaboration is focused on integrating Charlotte AI AgentWorks with Nvidia Nemotron, one of the most open AI model families available today.
All of this underscores one critical truth: cybersecurity is no longer optional — it’s essential.
Why Cybersecurity Is BoomingThe explosion in cybersecurity stocks isn’t just about one company. It’s about a global shift. As artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded into corporate and consumer life, the risks grow larger. Hackers and cybercriminals are increasingly using AI to launch more sophisticated attacks, forcing enterprises to adopt advanced defenses. At the same time, governments around the world are tightening regulations around data protection and digital security. Whether it’s safeguarding healthcare records, protecting financial systems, or defending critical infrastructure, cybersecurity has become a top priority. According to industry analysts, global spending on cybersecurity is expected to exceed $300 billion annually within the next five years, fueled by this rising urgency. That means the companies providing the tools, platforms, and infrastructure to defend against these threats could see enormous growth. And for investors, one of the best ways to tap into this trend is through cybersecurity-focused ETFs. |

2 Cybersecurity ETFs to Watch ETF: Global X Cybersecurity ETF (SYM: BUG)
The Global X Cybersecurity ETF (SYM: BUG) provides targeted exposure to companies expected to benefit from the widespread adoption of cybersecurity solutions. It’s a relatively concentrated ETF with only 24 holdings, which means it gives investors a focused bet on the biggest players in the industry. Among its top positions are some of the most innovative names in cybersecurity, including Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Check Point Software. Each of these companies has been a leader in rolling out next-generation cloud-based and AI-enhanced defenses. With demand for cybersecurity growing at a record pace, analysts expect BUG to continue trending higher. Even after its modest run from $33.50 to $35.33 in recent weeks, the ETF still looks undervalued relative to the long-term growth trajectory of the sector. |

ETF: iShares Cybersecurity and Tech ETF (SYM: IHAK)
The iShares Cybersecurity and Tech ETF (SYM: IHAK) is another excellent option for investors looking to ride the cybersecurity boom. With 33 holdings, it offers broader diversification than BUG while still maintaining a strong focus on pure cybersecurity leaders. Its portfolio includes CyberArk, Varonis Systems, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto Networks, among others. Like BUG, IHAK has posted steady gains in recent weeks, climbing from around $51 in August to nearly $53 today. But again, this could just be the beginning. With so much innovation happening in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, the ETF has room to run as enterprises pour money into digital defenses. |
