If you want to create passive income, dividend stocks are always a good idea.
Look at Liberty Energy (SYM: LBRT), for example.
With a yield of 2.7%, Liberty Energy (LBRT) provides hydraulic services and related technologies to onshore oil and natural gas exploration, and production companies in North America.
The company offers hydraulic fracturing services, including complementary services, such as wireline services, proppant delivery solutions, field gas processing and treating, compressed natural gas (CNG) delivery, data analytics, related goods comprising sand mine operations, and technologies; and well site fueling and logistics.
Plus, with growing demand for natural gas, especially with summer nearing.
In addition, funds like the LBRT stock as much as we do.
In fact, at the end of the first quarter, it was reported that Vince Maddi’s SIR Capital Management bought 844,260 shares of LBRT. Dmitry Balyasny’s Balyasny Capital Management increased its stake by nearly 118%. Chuck Royce’s Royce. Associates increased its stake by 50.5%. Israel Englander’s Millennium Management also bought 1.82 million shares.
Earnings haven’t been too shabby either.
In its most recent quarter, the company’s EPS of 12 cents beat by eight cents. Revenue of $977.46 million, down 11.1% year over year, beat by $29 million.
Also, as noted by Ron Gusek, Chief Executive Officer, as quoted in a company release:
“Liberty delivered a solid first quarter, with revenue of $977 million and Adjusted EBITDA of $168 million, and distributed $37 million to shareholders through opportunistic share repurchases and dividends.”
“We saw strong sequential improvement in utilization across our fleet, reached new heights in operational efficiencies and safety performance, and set a new high watermark in asset lifespan for equipment components. Our early year results demonstrate a positive rebound from the fourth quarter of 2024, a trend that has continued into the second quarter.”
In short, with solid earnings, and company expectations of healthy free cash flow generation, coupled with consistently strong dividend growth, and strong demand for natural gas, LBRT does look interesting again on its latest drop.
