Strong Buy Stocks for Monday, October 19, 2026: Five Names Riding Friday's Analyst Upgrades

    Monday, October 19, 2026

Five stocks stand out heading into Monday, October 19, 2026, each carrying a bullish rating change issued on Friday, October 16. Rate expectations shifted sharply during the week of October 12. After the hot September inflation report on October 14, CME FedWatch odds of an October hike rose to 54%. On October 16, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh offered no hint of another increase at an IMF event, and the odds fell to roughly 15%. Polymarket traders priced 87% odds of no change at the October 27-28 meeting but 79% odds of a quarter-point hike in December. The 10-year Treasury yield stood at 5.10% on October 16, and the S&P 500 was on track for a weekly loss as AI-related stocks slid. Earnings season picks up during the week of October 19, with investors focused on Meta Platforms and other AI-focused companies.

The five ideas below span media, nuclear power, marketing software, defense technology, and semiconductors. Editorial notes only, not investment advice.

Fox Corp. (FOXA) – BofA Makes a Double Upgrade

Fox was upgraded two notches, from Underperform to Buy, on Friday by BofA analyst Jessica Reif Ehrlich, who raised her price target to $85 from $54. Fox owns Fox News, Fox Sports, the Fox broadcast network, and the Tubi streaming service. In our view, live news and sports keep viewers watching in real time, which protects Fox's advertising and fee income better than most traditional media companies.

Shares traded near $64.08 during Friday's session, up about 0.16%, giving Fox a market capitalization near $27 billion. The 52-week range runs from $48.34 to $76.39, the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 14.97, and the dividend yield is near 1%.

Consensus reads buy, with seven bullish and four neutral ratings among 11 tracked firms. The average price target of $77.27 implies roughly 21% upside, while the BofA target implies about 33%. Guggenheim's Michael Morris reiterated Buy at $85 on September 23.

Risks: Wells Fargo's Steven Cahall downgraded the stock to Equal-Weight at $75 in February, and Evercore ISI's Vijay Jayant holds In-Line at $70. Cord-cutting, the cost of sports rights, and swings in advertising demand remain factors to monitor.

Constellation Energy (CEG) – CIBC Initiates at Outperformer

Constellation Energy drew a fresh Outperformer initiation on Friday from CIBC, which also launched coverage of Vistra and Talen Energy with the same rating. Constellation operates the largest nuclear power fleet in the U.S. In our view, technology companies want carbon-free power that runs around the clock, which makes Constellation's nuclear plants increasingly valuable to data centers.

Shares traded near $271.40 during Friday's session, down about 1.31%, giving Constellation a market capitalization near $96 billion. The stock sits well below its 52-week high of $406.04 and above its low of $228.63. The trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 26.36, and the dividend yield is near 1%.

Consensus reads strong buy, with 12 bullish and three neutral ratings among 15 tracked firms. The average price target of $355.13 implies roughly 31% upside. Morgan Stanley's David Arcaro held Overweight at $369 on September 18.

Risks: Bernstein's Sunaina Ocalan reiterated Outperform on October 6 with a $296 target, the lowest on the panel. Pullbacks in AI spending, power price swings, and regulatory review of data center supply deals remain factors to monitor.

Zeta Global (ZETA) – Goldman Sachs Upgrades the Marketing Platform

Zeta Global was upgraded from Neutral to Buy on Friday by Goldman Sachs analyst Callie Valenti, who raised her price target to $45 from $30. Zeta runs a data and AI platform that helps brands target customers through email, digital ads, and other channels. In our view, Zeta's large consumer data set gives it an edge as marketers shift budgets toward AI-driven targeting.

Shares traded near $31.95 during Friday's session, down about 4.77%, giving Zeta a market capitalization near $8 billion. The stock sits near its 52-week high of $35.75 and far above its low of $14.37. The company is roughly break-even on a trailing basis, so the price-to-earnings multiple is not meaningful.

Consensus reads strong buy, with 11 bullish ratings and one neutral among 12 tracked firms. The average price target of $38.25 implies roughly 20% upside, while the Goldman target implies about 41%. Roth Capital's Richard Baldry raised his target to $55 on October 12.

Risks: Truist's Terry Tillman holds Buy with a more modest $38 target as of October 9. Weaker advertising budgets, data privacy rules, and the stock's large price swings remain factors to monitor.

CACI International (CACI) – Macquarie Initiates at Outperform

CACI drew a fresh Outperform initiation on Friday from Macquarie, part of a broad defense launch that also covered AeroVironment, Kratos Defense, and Karman. CACI provides technology, intelligence, and electronic warfare services to U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. In our view, government demand for cyber, space, and electronic warfare capabilities supports a long runway of contract growth.

Shares traded near $611.30 during Friday's session, roughly flat, giving CACI a market capitalization near $13.5 billion. The 52-week range runs from $434.70 to $683.50, and the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 25.31.

Consensus reads buy, with seven bullish, two neutral, and one bearish rating among 10 tracked firms. The average price target of $660.70 implies roughly 8% upside. JPMorgan's Seth Seifman holds Overweight at $700.

Risks: BNP Paribas' Matthew Akers downgraded the stock to Underperform and cut his target to $540 from $675 on October 6, and Citigroup's John Godyn held Neutral at $689 on October 7. Federal budget delays and contract award timing remain factors to monitor.

Semtech (SMTC) – Northland Upgrades the Chipmaker

Semtech was upgraded from Market Perform to Outperform on Friday by Northland. Semtech makes analog and mixed-signal chips used in data center connections, industrial wireless networks, and connected devices. In our view, demand for faster links inside AI data centers is opening a new growth market for its products.

Shares traded near $139.29 during Friday's session, down about 3.41% as chip stocks stayed under pressure, giving Semtech a market capitalization near $13 billion. The 52-week range runs from $60.28 to $201.99, and the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 92.52.

Consensus reads strong buy, with 14 bullish ratings and one neutral among 15 tracked firms. The average price target of $198.53 implies roughly 43% upside. BMO Capital's Harsh Kumar raised his target to $230 from $155 on October 13.

Risks: Stifel's Tore Svanberg cut his target to $200 from $220 on October 16. A high valuation, cyclical demand for industrial chips, and the broader semiconductor selloff remain factors to monitor.
