CrowdStrike (CRWD) – Deutsche Bank Upgrades the Security Software Leader

CrowdStrike was upgraded from Hold to Buy on Monday by Deutsche Bank analyst Brad Zelnick, who raised his price target to $300 from $240. CrowdStrike sells cloud-based software that protects laptops, servers, cloud workloads, and user identities from cyberattacks. In our view, the rise of AI tools is creating new ways for hackers to attack, which keeps security near the top of corporate budgets.

Shares traded near $245.36 during Monday's session, down about 2.02%, giving CrowdStrike a market capitalization near $251 billion. The 52-week range runs from $85.68 to $286.99. The reported price-to-earnings multiple is extremely high and not meaningful.

Consensus reads strong buy, with 30 of 37 tracked firms bullish and seven neutral. The average price target of $258.46 implies roughly 5% upside, while the Deutsche Bank target implies about 22%. Mizuho's Gregg Moskowitz raised his target to $275 on October 22.

Risks: Evercore ISI's Peter Levine rates the stock In-Line with a $210 target. A rich valuation, competition from Microsoft and Palo Alto Networks, and the wider tech selloff remain factors to monitor.

Mohawk Industries (MHK) – Evercore ISI Upgrades the Flooring Maker

Mohawk was upgraded from In Line to Outperform on Monday by Evercore ISI analyst Stephen Kim, who raised his price target to $171 from $129. The stock also rose after the company announced a new share buyback plan. Mohawk is one of the world's largest flooring makers, selling carpet, tile, laminate, and vinyl. In our view, a recovery in home sales and remodeling would lift demand, and the buyback signals management confidence.

Shares traded near $149.39 during Monday's session, up about 7.16%, giving Mohawk a market capitalization near $9.0 billion. The stock sits near its 52-week high of $151.25 and well above its low of $92.99. The trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 17.52.

This is a contrarian call. Consensus reads buy, but only four of 10 tracked firms are bullish, with five neutral and one bearish. The average price target of $135.80 sits below the share price, so the Evercore target is the better guide, implying about 14% upside.

Risks: RBC Capital's Mike Dahl downgraded the stock to Underperform with a $112 target on October 7. Baird's Timothy Wojs held Neutral on November 2 while raising his target to $142. High mortgage rates and weak housing turnover remain factors to monitor.

L3Harris Technologies (LHX) – Morgan Stanley Resumes the Defense Contractor at Overweight

L3Harris was resumed with an Overweight rating on Monday by Morgan Stanley. L3Harris makes communications gear, space and sensor systems, electronic warfare equipment, and rocket motors for the U.S. military and its allies. In our view, demand for missiles, satellites, and secure communications gives L3Harris a long runway as defense budgets rise.

Shares traded near $278.39 during Monday's session, up about 0.28%, giving L3Harris a market capitalization near $52 billion. The stock sits well below its 52-week high of $379.23 and above its low of $232.34. The trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 25.95, and the dividend yield is near 2%.

Consensus reads buy, with eight of 11 tracked firms bullish and three neutral. The average price target of $342.09 implies roughly 23% upside. Citigroup's John Godyn raised his target to $418 on February 5.

Risks: UBS's Myles Walton held Neutral on October 30 with a $293 target, and RBC Capital's Ken Herbert held Sector Perform with a $295 target the same day. Government budget delays, program execution, and fixed-price contract risk remain factors to monitor.

SharkNinja (SN) – BTIG Initiates the Appliance Maker at Buy

SharkNinja was initiated with a Buy rating on Monday by BTIG. SharkNinja sells Shark vacuums and hair tools and Ninja kitchen appliances such as air fryers, blenders, and coffee makers. In our view, the company's steady stream of new products and its skill at social media marketing help it take market share from older appliance brands.

Shares traded near $212.26 during Monday's session, up about 2.05%, giving SharkNinja a market capitalization near $30 billion. The stock sits near its 52-week high of $216.06 and well above its low of $83.12. The trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 43.26.

Consensus reads strong buy, with all seven tracked firms bullish. The average price target of $206 sits below the share price after the stock's run, so recent targets are a better guide. Piper Sandler's Peter Keith raised his target to $234 on October 28, implying about 10% upside.

Risks: Tariffs on products made overseas, competition from Dyson and other brands, and a stock trading near its high remain factors to monitor.

AngloGold Ashanti (AU) – TD Cowen Initiates the Gold Miner at Buy

AngloGold Ashanti was initiated with a Buy rating on Monday by TD Cowen. AngloGold operates gold mines across Africa, Australia, and the Americas. In our view, a modest valuation and direct exposure to gold make AngloGold a useful hedge against inflation and market stress.

Shares traded near $82.52 during Monday's session, up about 3.42%, giving AngloGold a market capitalization near $42 billion. The stock sits well below its 52-week high of $129.14 and above its low of $63.29. The trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 11.02, and the dividend yield is near 5%.

Consensus reads strong buy, with six of seven tracked firms bullish and one neutral. The average price target of $120.93 implies roughly 47% upside. JPMorgan's Patrick Jones kept his Overweight rating with a $138 target on October 30.

Risks: BMO Capital's Raj Ray downgraded the stock to Market Perform on September 10. Gold price swings, rising mining costs, and political risk in some operating countries remain factors to monitor.
