American Electric Power (AEP) – KeyBanc Upgrades the Utility

American Electric Power was upgraded from Sector Weight to Overweight on Tuesday by KeyBanc. AEP operates one of the largest electricity transmission networks in the U.S. In our view, rising power demand from data centers and manufacturing supports a long runway of grid investment and rate-base growth.

Shares traded near $125.79 during Tuesday's session, up about 1.26%, giving AEP a market capitalization near $68 billion. The 52-week range runs from $112.54 to $140.58, the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 21.76, and the dividend yield is near 3%.

Consensus reads buy, with seven bullish and nine neutral ratings among 16 tracked firms. The average price target of $138.25 implies roughly 10% upside. Morgan Stanley's Stephen Byrd held Overweight at $128 on September 18.

Risks: Barclays' Nicholas Campanella cut his target to $120 from $129 on October 12, below the current price. Treasury yields near multi-decade highs, regulatory decisions on rate cases, and heavy capital spending all remain factors to monitor.

Prologis (PLD) – Scotiabank Upgrades the Warehouse Landlord

Prologis was upgraded from Sector Perform to Outperform on Tuesday by Scotiabank. Prologis is the world's largest owner of logistics warehouses and is expanding into data centers. In our view, limited new warehouse construction and a growing data center pipeline set up a recovery in rent growth.

Shares traded near $133.88 during Tuesday's session, up about 1.06%, giving Prologis a market capitalization near $125 billion. The 52-week range runs from $111.81 to $153.35, the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 29.83, and the dividend yield is near 3%.

Consensus reads buy, with 10 bullish and six neutral ratings among 16 tracked firms. The average price target of $151.94 implies roughly 13% upside. Wells Fargo's Blaine Heck held Overweight at $166 on September 1.

Risks: Six firms remain on the sidelines. Higher interest rates raise financing costs and pressure real estate valuations, while tariffs and slower trade could weigh on warehouse demand.

VF Corp. (VFC) – Two Upgrades for the Apparel Maker

VF Corp. drew two upgrades on Tuesday. Truist's Joseph Civello moved to Buy with a $20 target, up from $14, and Piper Sandler's Anna Andreeva moved to Overweight with a $20 target, up from $16. Both follow a JPMorgan upgrade to Neutral on October 9. VF owns The North Face, Vans, and Timberland. In our view, cost cuts, debt reduction, and stabilizing trends at The North Face support the turnaround case.

Shares traded near $16.04 during Tuesday's session, up about 1.55%, giving VF a market capitalization near $6.3 billion. The 52-week range runs from $12.46 to $22.27, the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 23.22, and the dividend yield is near 2%.

Consensus reads buy, with five bullish and nine neutral ratings among 14 tracked firms. The average price target of $18.29 implies roughly 14% upside, while the new $20 targets imply about 25%. Barclays' Adrienne Yih raised her target to $24 on October 12.

Risks: Telsey Advisory's Dana Telsey held Market Perform at $16 in January. Weak sales at Vans, tariff costs, and a heavy debt load all remain factors to monitor.

Linde (LIN) – Barclays Initiates at Overweight

Linde drew a fresh Overweight initiation on Tuesday from Barclays, part of a broad materials launch that also covered Air Products, DuPont, PPG, Axalta, and Entegris. Linde is the world's largest supplier of industrial gases. In our view, its long-term contracts and pricing power provide steady earnings growth through economic cycles.

Shares traded near $492.78 during Tuesday's session, up about 1.12%, giving Linde a market capitalization near $228 billion. The 52-week range runs from $387.78 to $548.20, the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 31.83, and the dividend yield is near 1%.

Consensus reads strong buy, with all 10 tracked firms rating the stock bullish. The average price target of $548.50 implies roughly 11% upside.

Risks: Some bulls have trimmed targets. UBS's Joshua Spector cut to $574 from $612 on October 5, and Citigroup's Patrick Cunningham cut to $560 from $580 on October 7. Weak industrial production in Europe and China and a premium valuation remain factors to monitor.

Viking Holdings (VIK) – Barclays Upgrades the Cruise Operator

Viking was upgraded from Equal Weight to Overweight on Tuesday by Barclays analyst Brandt Montour, who raised his price target to $102 from $90. Viking operates river and ocean cruises aimed at older, affluent travelers. In our view, its wealthy customer base and strong advance bookings make its revenue more resilient than most travel companies.

Shares traded near $81.67 during Tuesday's session, up about 1.11%, giving Viking a market capitalization near $36 billion. The 52-week range runs from $56.37 to $110.09, and the trailing price-to-earnings multiple is 27.09.

Consensus reads strong buy, with 13 bullish, one neutral, and one bearish rating among 15 tracked firms. The average price target of $106.13 implies roughly 30% upside, and the Barclays target implies about 25%.

Risks: Stifel's Steven Wieczynski cut his target to $115 from $120 on September 28, and Truist's Patrick Scholes cut to $98 from $102 on September 24. Fuel costs, geopolitical disruptions to itineraries, and slower consumer travel spending all remain factors to monitor.
