The real story behind Trump’s “Gulf of America”

    Dear Reader,

    Good morning,

    Happy Monday.

Remember when President Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America?

A lot of people were like, why would you even do that? That Trump is a sly fox.

The truth is, Trump didn’t do it for his own ego.

It’s actually a really interesting story:

It’s really about “the extended continental shelf project,” okay?

You can Google that after reading this if you like.

    This is very important -

We have a scenario here where for nearly 20 years, a small government task force worked in basic obscurity in a cramped office above a Colorado stripmall - you can’t make this stuff up…

These scientists, engineers and maritime surveyors did some painstaking work, and what they found, believe it or not, this sounds insane but it is true…

They found that if you extend our shelf out, we actually have access to resources that are critical for America…

AND valuable enough to add - I know this sounds crazy - $1.5 million in wealth to every American citizen.

That’s $500 trillion in new wealth for America.

This task force mapped it all out and this is what they found.

And that’s why they renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. Because we were able to push out our land, our proprietary area.

It’s funny, you think back to Trump’s real estate days…

If you know New York, and you know the Tiffany building on 5th Avenue, Trump Tower was built right next to it.

The Tiffany building is like eight stories. And then you have Trump Tower next to it and it’s like 50 more stories.

So, how did Trump build such a big building right next to the Tiffany building?

He acquired the air rights on top of Tiffany.

He said, you know what, we’ll cut you a check for $5 million if you let us build above in your air space.

Tiffany agreed, and that building has made the Trump family billions of dollars.

So he did the same thing here, basically, turning the Gulf of Mexico into the Gulf of America.

There was talk about this shelf in 2023, and even before then.

But when the government finished mapping this territory, they discovered something that changed everything…

Scattered across the seabed are lots of critical minerals and metals…

Resources that power EVs, industrial-scale batteries, advanced weapons systems, artificial intelligence, phones, every modern technology you can think of.

And if you are a regular here you know that we keep our eye on China. China controls so many of these critical materials.

So unlocking this massive new supply, right here on our shores is a gamechanger.

And there’s only a handful of companies on earth that have proven they can extract these resources from the ocean.

That’s why the first recommendation in our America First Fortunes model portfolio is a company that can do this and is super connected with the administration. A company we believe is on the verge of winning a super big contract.

So these are the kinds of ideas we’re going to be discussing in our America First broadcast on Thursday.
