NFL Season Kicks Off: 3 Gambling Stocks Poised to Win - 9/17

With NFL Season Under Way, These Gambling Stocks Are Worth the Gamble

The NFL is back — and with it comes a surge of excitement not just for fans and fantasy players, but also for investors. Sports betting has quickly become one of the most explosive industries in the U.S., and every NFL season gives it a fresh catalyst.

The numbers are staggering. A year ago, Americans wagered a record $27.6 billion on NFL games alone. That’s more than the GDP of some small countries, and it underscores just how much the NFL drives the sports betting economy. According to CBS Sports, “The NFL remains king, and more money is wagered on the NFL than any other league. The NFL also attracts six-figure wagers (and sometimes seven-figure wagers) on a regular basis throughout the season.”

This year, according to the American Gaming Association, Americans are expected to wager about $30 billion – an 8% jump year over year. This would also explain why DKNG recently ran from an August 2025 low of about $42.38 to $48.78.

Here are three of the best-positioned gambling investments for this NFL season and beyond.

    Company: DraftKings (SYM: DKNG)

DraftKings remains the most recognizable name in U.S. sports betting. Its dominance is tied directly to football season, when user engagement and revenue spike.

Last year tells the story well. Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, DKNG traded near $31.26. By the end of football season, it had surged to $45.72 — a nearly 50% gain. This year, we’re already seeing the same pattern play out. From an August 2025 low of $42.38, DKNG rallied to nearly $48.78 before pulling back to around $42.61.

For long-term investors, that pullback may be a gift. DraftKings continues to expand market share across legalized states, while analysts project strong revenue growth as more jurisdictions open up to online betting. Importantly, its brand recognition gives it a moat that many smaller competitors can’t match.

If Americans truly bet $30 billion on NFL games this season, it’s hard to imagine DraftKings not being one of the biggest beneficiaries.

    Company: Flutter Entertainment (SYM: FLUT)

While DraftKings grabs U.S. headlines, Flutter Entertainment is a global powerhouse in sports betting and gambling. With a market cap of about $54 billion, Flutter owns multiple brands that dominate online wagering — including FanDuel, which is the clear U.S. leader in market share.

Like DraftKings, Flutter tends to surge ahead of and during the NFL season. In 2023, FLUT climbed from about $180 in August to a high near $278 by December. In 2025, the pattern has continued: from an April low near $200, the stock surged above $306.95 before pulling back. Most recently, it ran from $280 to $310, before settling near $278.81.

That pullback, again, looks like an opportunity. Flutter isn’t just an NFL story — it’s a global one. Its reach extends to Europe, Australia, and other regions where online betting is deeply entrenched. But FanDuel gives it a major edge in the U.S., where football season can make or break quarterly earnings.

Analysts remain bullish, with some calling Flutter one of the best long-term bets in the entire gambling sector.

On Behalf of The FUTR Corp.

Why This AI Play Could Shock Wall Street

Most “next big AI” stories are still burning cash.

    But not this one.

The foundation is already in place:

    -$3B+ processed through FUTR Pay

-1M+ transactions live across the platform

-88% gross margins — rare for any small-cap tech

-Zero-party data structured in personal vaults instead of being scraped by Big Tech

-Data Protocol + Utility Token ready to monetize every transaction

Now comes the real catalyst.  The rollout of consumer AI agents.

Agents that can read your bills, flag your renewals, pay your obligations, and reward you for sharing your structured, verified data.

Every bill, contract, and policy hides valuable zero-party data. A new payments backbone combined with a Utility Token unlocks it, creating a consent-driven marketplace where every transaction generates recurring revenue.

This isn’t just another startup promise. It’s a scaled, profitable engine ready to tap one of the fastest-growing markets of the decade.

And right now, the market hasn’t priced it in.

ETF: Roundhill Sports Betting & Gambling ETF (SYM: BETZ)

If you want broad exposure to the sports betting industry without betting on just one or two names, the BETZ ETF is a strong option. This exchange-traded fund holds 31 gambling-related companies, including DraftKings, Flutter, Entain PLC, Genius Sports, and Rush Street Interactive.

Last year, BETZ followed the NFL betting cycle almost perfectly. From an August 2024 low of about $15.56, it ran to a December high of $20.28 — a more than 30% rally. This year, BETZ has already surged from $16.73 to $24.35, before recently pulling back to about $24.54.

While its expense ratio of 0.75% is on the higher side, the ETF gives investors immediate diversification across global gaming and online betting operators. That makes it appealing for those who don’t want to pick winners but still want exposure to the secular growth of legalized sports betting.

Fed’s Soft Landing Plan Could Trigger a Crypto Surge

There’s a silent shift underway in the crypto markets…

And it all centers on the Federal Reserve’s next move.

After a long stretch of tight monetary policy, the Fed is now signaling a soft landing—with interest rate cuts looking more likely by the end of the year.

That creates a powerful setup for crypto, particularly one altcoin quietly powering the backbone of decentralized finance.

    This project has:

    -Real-world usage

    -Massive total value locked

-Deep integration with major blockchain ecosystems

And yet—it’s still flying under the radar.

As co-host of Crypto 101, I’ve had the chance to surface early opportunities for our community before they exploded—like OCEAN, PRE, and KDA.

But this current altcoin setup? It could be one of the most compelling yet.
